At Qdrant, we value every contribution, whether it’s a short post, a community talk, or a complex open-source integration. Our reward system is designed to acknowledge efforts at every level, ensuring your impact is recognized and celebrated.
Each tier below has a clear bar so there’s no guesswork about which one your contribution lands in. If a submission doesn’t clearly meet a tier’s bar, it’s scored at the tier below instead. See Criteria for Selection for how we evaluate every submission the same way.
Reward: $25 – $50
Examples: Blog articles, concise tutorials, documentation improvements, and write-ups that integrate Qdrant with other technologies (not everything needs to be Qdrant-only).
The bar: Good-faith, useful, and accurate, but not necessarily promoted or high-traction. This tier covers content posted “for the record” rather than actively pushed for engagement. If you do actively promote it and it gets good engagement, it likely qualifies for Medium instead.
Reward: $50 – $150
Examples: In-depth tutorials, real-world use case implementations, or integration walkthroughs, and student-focused workshops or events.
The bar: Quality and visibility both matter here. The content should be well-documented, readable, and go beyond “how” into “why”: architecture choices, trade-offs, real problems solved. It should also show good engagement, which in practice means it was actively shared and promoted (socials, newsletters, communities), not just quietly published. Events aimed at students land in this tier as long as they’re well-documented and well-promoted; the same event aimed at industry professionals is scored as Large instead.
Reward: $150 – $300
Examples: Open-source integrations, full benchmark or demo apps, deep benchmarking studies, recorded technical sessions, or events/meetups aimed at industry professionals (not students), especially in Priority Zones (USA, Western & Northern Europe).
The bar: These require real time and expertise: include documentation, code, or results others can reproduce. The professional-audience bar is what separates this tier from Medium: the same event or demo aimed at students is scored as Medium.
Reward: $300 – $500+
Examples: Flagship tutorials, major community initiatives, or speaking at/organizing a large, high-profile (“hyped”) conference or event.
The bar: Reserved for contributions that stay valuable for months and meaningfully move the needle for Qdrant’s visibility. Because this tier usually involves travel, it needs pre-approval at least 1 month in advance, since that’s what unlocks partial travel reimbursement. Without that advance notice, the trip itself isn’t eligible for reimbursement even if the talk still qualifies for the reward.

We encourage real-world events that bring the Qdrant community together! Events in Priority Zones (USA, Western & Northern Europe) receive bonus rewards, though we welcome and support events from all regions - with a primary focus on these key areas.
To keep tiering and reward amounts transparent and consistent, every submission is scored the same way, regardless of tier:
Once a submission is scored against these criteria, the resulting tier and reward amount are final for that submission. Publishing the criteria up front is meant to remove any guesswork or back-and-forth on our end or yours.
